Behind door number 14 is...National Nature Reserve. This symbol is used on maps for NNR's. There are 224 National Nature Reserves in England covering a total of over 94,400 hectares of land. That's 0.7% of the country's land mass. The largest is The Wash 8800 hectares and the smallest is in Dorset 0.32 hectares.
