Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve Advent Calendar - Door number 8

Halichoerus grypus or grey seal can be seen around the Reserve. We've regularly got up to 4,000 which haul out on the Sand and mudflats of the intertidal areas. You may come across some as you walk around the Reserve. We've got some great advice on viewing seals in a safe and considerate way. Have look here for some more info:
