Morning at the WoWL

Reserve volunteers Gill and David spent Saturday morning in the Window On Wild Lindisfarne talking to visitors. Here is their diary from the day.

At least 20 teal on the water and in the grass. Big flock of lapwing (?100) flew in followed by more later. Maybe 20 black headed gulls (winter plumage) and 20 herring gulls loafing.

Lots of visitors, about 60 per hour including small children, quite rewarding. Students (8) from Glasgow and 4 twenty odd year olds from Malaga plus older folks from Stafford, Glasgow & Manchester to identify just some visitors.

Enjoyable and good fun.
